I am sorry to hear about your little guy. I have had several with collapsed tracheas and depending on the severity it can be treated with medicine or surgery. 2 of mine were not severe and lived to an old age. one of mine's was severe and after going to a specialist and doing research we decided that the surgery was to risky for her and her collapse was in the thoracic area and she was not a good candidate for surgery, That was 12 years ago though and they can do a lot more now so I would consult with the specialist and then take it from there. I hope he can be helped without surgery.
