I really like the clay/taupe for the wall color in each room, it's neutral enough to use whatever color you want with it and it's classy...but it can be contemporary, country or upscale too. Sounds really pretty, and I love the idea, of using the same colors for other rooms, as was in the plaid valances. What was the name of your paint color? I too have oak hardwood floors, and I would like to find a color that works with them.
