Shake a little corn starch on the mat when it's dry, rub it into the mat and gently comb out a little at a time. The corn starch will help detangle the mat. Once you have combed through them you can bathe and dry like you normally would. Everyday combing or brushing with a pin brush will help keep the mats away.
