I went thru the same thing. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. My yorkie (weighs, 6.8lbs) had panacreatitis when he was 11/2 He's 4 now..and he's doing good...he's only had a few other less severe cases....because in one incident, he was given a liver treat at petsmart and the other because he had tooo many greenie bones.
The severe case he experienced was because of all the scraps and wet food and treats we used to give him. He's our first dog...so I was no aware of what could happen to him. He also had to stay in the hospital for 2 days with no food, just on IV, so his pancreas could rest and renew it's self.
Please don't give your doggie, especially the small ones...any human food other then vegetables..and treats are very bad... |
