A couple of years ago I went out on the deck in the early morning and saw tuffs of fur on the deck. Then I look across the yard and saw tuffs of fur all the across into the woods. Then I knew that that fur belonged to our 15 year old cat. He was a house cat that every once in awhile liked to go out on the deck. My 22 year old son had let the cat out when he came home a couple of hours before. I figured a coyote got him. We searched the woods but never found any trace of our kitty. It really upset me to think my kitty was some ugly coyote's breakfast. Whenever I take Piper out she is leashed and I still scan the woodline. I'm always afraid something is going to come out of the woods and scoop up Piper.
