I prefer that size too! If you want to win in group someday - you better have one 6-7 pounds! The small ones just get hidden and do not show up against the other dogs in the group, let alone BIS. And if people keep breeding small yorkies, they are going to get smaller and smaller - not a good idea for the breed. |
You're right and especially if you attend the National dogs are at the upper end of the standard. That is unless for some reason a judge has been obtained that likes a smaller dog, then everyone will take a smaller dog.
