The Emergency Vet gave Sadie hydromorphone when we went in for her knee the first time. Sadie is allergic to EVERYTHING so of course she had a reaction to the shot. After her bilateral LP surgery 6 weeks ago she was only given Metacam afterwards. You might want to ask if they have to give Prince hydromorphone or if they can control his pain on Metacam. She was able to tolerate the Metacam and only needed it for a week post surgery. |
