when you do the dawn to kill fleas you have to follow up with a heavy conditioner to condition the skin. I do not pluck my yorkies ears as the only time my dex had ear infections is the two times he had them plucked and our vet said not to pluck due to opening pores and thus allowing bacteria into the pores
