3 puppies is a great litter, not too many just perfect number, Hopefully she will deliver them all naturally and all will be good.
You will notice her belly soon, in another week or so it is good to have Xrays done , if he "felt" 3 puppies he must be a very experienced vet, but it is better to be sure.

He guessed 3. Its not a "for sure" thing. We will go back for x-rays at 8 weeks to get a better idea =)
