Default Call me crazy but....

I took in a new puppy this evening. The person was going to sell her to me or to someone else, didn't care as long as she got the money. She was the last of the litter, and she's only 7.5 weeks old. I know that they are suppose to stay with their mom longer, but I couldn't let her go to someone who didn't have experience. It's possible that she could have gone to someone that didn't know about low blood sugar etc. When I got her, her gums where as white as snow and she was shaking from being so nervous. So, I tucked her into my purse (she's only 1.5lbs) and rushed into the grocery store with her. I got some dark Karo syrup and put it in her mouth as soon as we got back in the car. I sat there with her for about 10 minutes making sure that she got plenty. She stopped shaking and then I brought her home. She really came to live after seeing my other Yorkies. Ellie is such a good momma dog that she tooked to her right away. The puppy, which I am calling Izzy, is now very perky and is now sleeping after the first hour of being home. I am taking her to the vet in the morning. Wish Izzy a good exam and health.
