some animals have an allergic reation to certain products. the nice thing is that there are other options out there. before trying anything different i would talk to your vet and tell her/him what's going on.
we almost killed our cat once by placing a flee collar on her. it paralyzed her. it was the strangest thing. i wouldn't have believed it if i hadn't seen it myself.
