Default Intestinal Lymphangiectasia: A Protein-Losing Enteropathy (PLE)

My heart and prayers go out to you for Noelle's recovery and on losing Chance.
Yes, PLE is a strange disease and, from what I've read but luckily haven't yet experienced, is that Prednisone can keep PLE in check but can cause so many other problems.

JaJa was diagnosed 2 years ago (she's now 9 1/2 years) and is on prednisone for 2 days then off 1 day, then the cycle begins again. She has had UTI's and more recently, cystals in her urine. I crush 150 mg Vit C 2x/day and add it to her food.

her blood work last month showed a slightly lower albumin protein level- although still in normal range. Her vet now wants her to get blood work every month instead of every 2 months...

One thing that might be helping is I add Fortiflora (a probiotic) to her food each evening.

Please let me know if you want to discuss.
best,
Karen & JaJa
