Well, I'm glad you called, who knows what would have happened if you ignored it. Many times the first reaction to an allergy is the mildest, so on the next shot, I would definitely plan on staying there a while. Does your dog go for many car rides? You might want to take him on a few rides, in between where nothing bad happens, so he won't associate his reaction with the car, and drool every time he's in the car. Your idea about getting shots in the morning is a great tip! Joey always get sick at night or weekends.
