Just noticed your post! The only time we have had this problem with Toto, was at the "peak" of her gaining too much weight! She would get up on her little step-up to the sofa and although it was a very short distance ... she just couldn't make it. Just a thought, is your little Bailey over his recommended weight? Toto was at 5 lbs. 9 ozs., which was 2 lbs. 9 ozs. over her recommended weight for her tiny frame!! We knew she had gained a little weight but were shocked to realize she was nearly twice the weight for her little bones ... no wonder she couldn't jump up!!
She is on a "tough love" diet and has lost down to 4 lbs. 1.4 oz. ... slowly but surely! She is also getting up any place she wants to without any effort! Good luck!!
