Default Summer in Minnesota

Here in northern Minnesota we normally only have maybe a week or two of temps in the 80s and the majority of us don't have Air Conditioning. Well, right now we are in day 3 of our 'summer'. My three children are having a tough time with this heat. To cool off, Mazie my English Cocker, she maybe twice a day, goes and drinks the cold water then she puts each of her feet in the water bowl and then goes and lays on her back on the couch near the fan. Misty loves the ice cubes that I put in the water bowl and generally takes one or two and sits on my bed, munching on her ice cubes laying by the fan. Cassie my 13 week Maltese is really strange. She waits until Misty takes her ice cubes she then tiptoes over to the bowl and puts all four paws in it then she sits down and within a couple of minutes she's laying in the water bowl sometimes she even rolls over. Thank goodness I keep a towel close by.

What does everyone else do to help their pups get through hot weather without air conditioning?
