I use to cut Joeys, but it seemed like I had to cut it quite often to keep the hair out of his eyes, if you've already grown it past that awkward stage, I would definitely keep it long. The groomer should never have shaved it, but should have cut it in a little "V", but she may have shaved it so you would have some time before needing a cut again. (Shaving can make the nose look a little long.) With the V cut you have to do it monthly, but this is something that can be done at home. I think Lola would look great in a topknot too, and I'm so glad she's doing better.
