I wanted to know if all breeders do a x-ray to find out how many to expect or if they just wait and see how many at the time of the whelp. Let me know your thoughts. |
For me, for now, I will do x-rays with each pregnancy. I feel much better to know, if not a 100% accurate head count of puppies, at least a good idea of how many to expect and their size in comparison to the birth canal. Having that information will make me feel better prepared come whelping time, which in turn, will help to keep the mama calm too.
