Belly bands are especially useful on unneutered males, because many often mark even in their own homes. The belly band is just a piece of fabric, usually with a Velcro closure, and you put a sanitary pad inside. Joey's is neutered and never marks in our house, but when we go to homes where other dogs live, he thinks nothing of marking, so he wears a cute little band when we go visiting.
