I have 5 baby wrens here that I am hand feeding and hoping and praying to get them all to adulthood. Yesterday, a cat killed the mother bird and the father bird was nowhere around to take care of the babies. A lady called me for help because I have been successful in hand raising many birds. She just couldn't get the knack of feeding them, so she brought them over last night. Poor babies were so scared at first and wouldn't open their beaks, so I had to force feed them. They have been much more relaxed today and they now open wide for their food. Right now I'm feeding them baby bird formula and they eat lots...and poop even more! I fed them about every half hour today. Every time they hear my voice, they start chattering and want food!

I have some pictures here...I will add pictures to this thread as I take them. I have fallen in love with them, and Maddie and Libby want them, but I have them safe from the puppies. I got a glass hamster cage that looks like an aquarium with a screened top. They are still in their original nest and birdhouse which I have inside the glass. I am not going to let them see the puppies much because I don't want them to get too used to them and think they can trust them once they are released. Here's pictures...

Oh my goodness Connie. They are so precious. Loved hearing the babies little peeps when we were chatting by phone.

Connie you are such a Dear Lady, these precious little ones are so very lucky.

We love you, please make sure you take time to eat and sleep, hopefully they will be able to have their feedings be further apart to give you a break.

By the way those little babies aren't the only ones lucky we too are so very lucky and Blessed to have you as our friend and also everyones furbabies that are fortunate to get to wear one of your Connie's Creations.
