running in the poo I recently got a 2 year old female yorkie from a breeder that kept her crated all the time. Crate training is not an option, she WILL poop/pee where she sleeps.
I've seen some progress, when I got her she was not used to grass or going up/down steps. She's fine with both now. She is good about peeing outside but pooping outside is spotty. She can hold it all night, then turn around & poop if I leave her for 20 minutes. I have hardwood floors so I don't mind picking up a pile of poo if need be, but twice now she's pooped in a confined room near the door, then ran all through it caking it onto the floor. Also jumped on the walls, packing the poo onto it. I will need to paint the laundry room wall at some point, I was able to get it off my bedroom wall.
Anyone else had this issue of them running through the poo & tracking it around? This I have zero patience for. While I've seen some progress in less than 2 weeks, I know I will not have the patience to face this for months, like I've been reading on many posts here. Just curious if anyone else has faced this. |
