Lymphangiectasia can only be diagnosed by a biopsy, however, as my original post mentioned I would have your vet put your little guy on Prednizone and see if his albumin levels increase. Then change his food to a low fat, good quality high protein diet – absolutely no fat what-so-ever. Within 7-14 days you should see a better blood result, and if not then go for the additional tests.
