i just got Sadie, she did the same thing about sleeping her whole first night and then keeping me up more as it went, but i started crating her when she got sleepy from the get go and she has access to a crate 24/7 whenever she wants it, she's got her blanket in there and toys and she'll go in and out all day when she wants space. she will go right to sleep at night, wake up at 3am and cry to go pee, i'll sing her back to sleep after potty break and she'll sleep until 5am and then get up to pee and eat and play some and then sometimes sleep more so i can catch another zzz... she's really good, but i've taught her already that her crate is her bed and her haven not to be punished, it's for her to love and enjoy in there. i always lay on the floor next to her in the crate and put my fingers in the crate's door until she falls asleep....she's getting tucked in basically.
