You didn't really answer the question though - WHAT would you do if a dog lunged at you? Don't give "a dog would never lunge at me" because that's not true. An agressive, unstable dog would lunge at anybody. You simply repeated what we already know you think... yes, the dog was "choking" and "miserable" but what would YOU do if a dog lunged at you, like so?
