I am a proponent of free feeding a quality food. I keep dry kibble out at all times. They can all eat as much or as little as they like. I use an All Life Stage Food so they can all eat the same thing, from my 5 month old puppy, to a 17 year old dachshund and 2 in between. All of mine are described as lean and healthy by the vet. I just donot think they should be rationed UNLESS they look like they are developing a weight problem. Then of course, a different route would have to be taken. |
