My Aunt is this way. She gets all funky about her kids being around and the dogs are always welcome at her house if they are outside or in the garage. It has really damaged a good relationship- my dogs are well trained and all other family members including her kids and hubby love the dogs. Some people just dont understand how much a dog does for you and your family.
