Walk Away I pretty much just walk away & do my best to hold any comments to myself (until I get to tell my husband or friend about it - like "can you believe..."). I have gotten some pretty disgusting looks - sometimes when Buster & Bailey are barking up a storm & actually disturbing people (but I'm trying to calm them down & make sure they are quiet), but other times just because the people don't like dogs, and they are jerks about it. I ask a lot of times if I can bring them places, or even to meet another dog on a walk or something. This past weekend I even asked a golf course when we were on vacation (I'm not shy to ask!). I was expecting a no, but figured I would ask. I asked very nicely at the golf course front desk (it was a pretty slow day, a public course, and not a very nice one at that so I figured I'd give it a shot - they even allowed some people in our group to go around in a cart & catch frogs for fish bait later on our trip, but said no to my little 2 allowed on the course). I asked "Do you mind if I walk along in our group with my 2 small dogs"? and she snipped back at me rather rudely, "YES, I MIND!" I just said OK and walked out. I find that people can be big jerks, but I just walk away & try my best to hold in my comments. I've known people that are petrified of small dogs, so I just leave them be. Buster & Bailey wouldn't even harm a fly intentionally, so I know that they are nothing to be scared of & just don't pay too much attention to any anti-dog comments or actions.
