I held the pup and couldn't feel that her skin was scaly as such. The flakes did seem to be sitting in her coat only. Not sure if this is significant but the flakes were brown in colour. I had read that Yorkies have incredibly sensitive skin, and so at first I thought, oh yeah she's right, it probably is just the norm - but I really would like to satisy myself that the flakes are not an indication of something sinister. Do you think it's acceptable that I purchase the puppy and have my vet see her the day I buy her?? The breeder clearly doesn't see that the flakes are a big enough issue for her to have to do anything about them.
Thanks so much.
