Default Schedulle C-section,

Question for the breeders that had experience with this:

My female was bred on June 16th , then every other day until june 21st.
Took her to have Xrays On August 4th, Supposely 50 days into pregnancy if she had ovulated on June 16th...
Vet could barely see one puppy and suggested we do another Rx this friday August 14th.
We have scheduled a C-section for the 20th of August by his recommendation. Based on her Xrays he thinks she must have ovulated around the 20Th...
We usually spay in the first c-section if it happens. She had a c-section on her first litter due to a HUGE singleton and because we know her lines well and the way the mating happened the first time the vet recommended not spaying her, but i do not want to risk having her go into labor and having huge complications. Therefore the scheduled c-section.We Plan to keep one of her daughters and spay her now. She had a boy first litter and that is why i did not keep.

Any inputs or words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated.
