she is plenty big enough to breed but sometimes even the big ones have complications. Hopefully, you won't. Do you have any idea when she got breed? Sounds like you don't. if she is bagging down already she is pretty far along. You need to take her to the vet for an ultrasoundd if she is at lwast 29 days from breeding or if you think she is farther along than that, get an x-ray. there is no way to tell without those two things how many puppies she might have. Often, first time mamas only have one. You might be able to palpate the puppies but only an experienced person should even try to do that. |
