Your vet shouldn't charge you again to give you a prescription, if she's already recommended it...If you decide to get heartworm meds, just go into the vet and tell them you are ready to get the heartworm medication for your pup...I use interceptor every single month, because I live in S.E.Texas, and some of the mosquitoes are as big as jack rabbits lol...Just kidding, but we do have mosquitoes year round I actually buy mine from www.myvetsmeds.com and they send for approval to my vet (via fax)...It's actually cheaper this way, than buying them in the vet's office....
