In other news, I made a quilt for the puppy last night. I'm hoping it's a girl, obviously, LOL. We will be keeping the pup if it is female. I am making another quilt tonight in boy colors too, just in case.

I set up Roxie's whelping crate last night and she seems to like it. I got a couple of food/water bowls that mount off the ground so the puppy won't drown in the water bowl (happened to a close friend of mine, with a pomeranian pup), and the heating pad is on the right side, under the pink blanket. It warms up pretty quick and Roxie loves it! She napped on it last night. I'll swap out the quilt for some puppy pads and blankets when the time comes.
Wow; nice quilt & whelping area! Is that a very large crate or an xpen? I have a crate/cage and though it probably really is large enough for Halle & her pup(s), I don't think it's big enough. Her whelping box will be a large under the bed storage bin and it (along with Halle & her baby(s) will go an x-pen after she delivers. Do you have plans to line your crate with something to prevent the baby from getting stuck in between the bars? I am using a infant baby crib bumper pad for my pen.

BTW, tell Roxie to turn around so we can see her pretty face!
