Scooter is spoiled too. While your mom may think it is brat behavior, I disagree. I trained Scooter not to go after anything that drops on the floor. He has learned that if he waits, he will get an even better reward. My mom could drop anything on the floor and her dog would act the same as your mom's. Scooter would look up and ask permission. If he hears a relese word, he goes for it. If the treat is bigger than him, he does like to have sme assistance but it isn't always necessary. For example, Scooter's chicken treats are big. He will bring a strip to me when I sit down and all he wants is for me to hold one end. I don't need to break it into pieces, I just need to help him have a solid grip for chowing down. They are such funny babies. My mom couldn't believe it but has since adjusted her thinking!

Scooter is spoiled and I think it is a good thing.
