Is this an experienced male, how old is he? First of all it is always recommended that the female go to the males house to be bred. Most females are not even ready to be bred until the 11th day of their heat cycle. The male might sense that she is not ready. Are you leaving them together? The male and female should be kept separated until you are ready to breed them. Then you put them together and closely supervise the breeding. It is always recommended that you hold the female while the male is mounting her. If the male is showing no interest then it is probably because he is unexperienced, to young or the female is not ready.
