Those puppies were probably in the shade under a tree but hot is hot. The last time my husband and I sat down at Taco Bell to grab a taco we looked out the window at the Walmart parking lot. There was a big white truck with a handwritten cardboard sign. "Free Boxers". They must have had 7 or 8 little puppies and the mother dog in the back end of the truck. It was 95 degrees and they were in the sun. The lady was carrying an umbrella to protect her from the sun. It appeared to be a family (man, woman, teenage boy). The puppies were cute but my thought was...why did they have to spend their last afternoon with those cruddy people like that. I wanted to get a couple of them but I know how difficult it would be to find a home for dogs like that. They looked like boxer/lab mixes and we all know the dog pounds are filled with lab mixes.
