Hello--

My 9 m.o. Yorkie, Maxwell, has (until recently--see other thread in Health) been doing alright with pee-pad training, but has one persistent problem.

Sometimes, he will walk up to the pee pad, sniff it, and pee without walking completely onto the pad. The pee will land 3-4" off the edge of the pad on the carpeted floor. (When he poos, he always makes sure he is entirely on the pad.)

Anyway, does anyone know a good way to correct this annoying behavior? We've tried a litter box (lined with a pad), a pad holder, and of course verbal corrections when he pees near the pad but not on it.
