Grout can be tough to get rid of all the smell or stain. I believe Nature's Miracle makes a cleaner specifically for grout, but many people have had success with the regular Nature's Miracle. If grout is sealed properly, no water should sink in the surface, but since it can't be sealed for 30 days after installation many builder skip this step. It's fairly easy to seal it, it's just a clear liquid, but grout should be clean first, and home improvement stores have a special cleaner that prepares grout for sealing. For heavily used floors, grout should be sealed once a year for best results, and it usually takes up to three coats the first time. You know it sealed when water doesn't seap in or the grout doesn't change colors when wet.
