The reason I've decided to do this is to prevent irresonbible breeding of puppies when they leave my home and because I have a wonderful vet that his up to speed on technology and uses Sevo which is best anesthetic to use on toy breeds (he told me so .

I think all breeders should do this!! Even though it was in my contract for Toto to be returned to breeder for spaying when she was old enough, we made that decision before we even met our breeder!! As it turns out, we both use the same vet at home and we were the ones that had her spayed ... had to wait until she was about 8 months because she was so tiny and we also wanted all her permanent teeth in so the baby teeth could be removed. Our vet hates to have to sedate them unless it's absolutely necessary, so she tries to do it all in one procedure.
I don't know if it's based on size or age but if at all possible, it's a great idea and you're sure that it's done!
