My puppy is about the same age as yours, and he can get a little crazy with biting--nothing like you describe--but at times he can get a bit hyper too. I've found that he needs (and enjoys) a lot of exercise. We take 2 or 3 long walks each day. Sometimes he's a little lazy at the beginning of our walks--refuses to walk, lays down--and I carry him for a while down the road--but once he starts walking, he just loves it. Our walks range from 20-45 min. He also needs a lot of "play" time...he loves to play fetch with balls. I have 2 children who play with him for hours during the day. When he starts biting at our fingers, which hurts, I put him down on the floor with a bully stick.

I know your problem is more serious than ours--Mickey is just doing normal puppy biting--but I thought that more exercise may help a little! Good luck! You sound like a wonderful mom for Rocky!
