I'm in Massachusetts and lately its been cold. My two 5 lb. yorkies always wear a sweater below 50 degrees, depends on the wind chill factor too. They can never be too warm I don't think, better then being chilled. Sometimes in our house, their little feet feel cold and their body cold even tho they sport the full long hair style, then they wear a lighter sweater. But I'd say now is the time to put a sweater on when outside at least. Mine are not outside dogs, they use puppy pads and get plenty of exercise inside but for those time that I do take them out, they are covered and warm. Walmart has some good prices on little sweaters now.
