the nursing home that my mom was in had a couple of dogs living there. This was in the alzheimers unit so everyone thought the dog belonged to themselves. I took buckeye in to see mom one time. she was trying to recover from a broken hip surgery so she was in a lot of pain. when i held buckeye up for her to pet, she grabbed his ears and tried to pull them off. so i didn't try to use him for therapy again.
