Another very important point to remember is that admin, as the owner, has a great deal of potential liablity for what is posted and written. Even though when we register as a member we agree that what others say is their opinion only and we release admin of any liablity, if there is something said that is obviously defamatory and admin is advised of it and lets it remain then he could potentially be sued along with the person who actually said it. It is happening more and more on these forums as they become bigger and more popular. Admin needs tohave the freedom to delete or edit posts to limit his potential liability.

He also has to make sure he treats everyone the same and there is no discrimination. He cannot bend the rules for one and not for another. This forum is a business and we all agreed to a contract when we registered. Admin promised if you follow the rules you can stay a member and you promised to follow the rules.

I commend YT admin for implementing and enforcing rules to keep this a safe place without being overbearing or allowing a "free for all" where people get hurt. I have been on sites with NO rules and they are a disaster. There is a lot of name calling and libelous statements that hurt people a lot. It is bad.

I think there is a happy medium between overbearing dictatorships and loosey goosy free for alls where any thing is allowed.
