We are using a large plastic kiddie pool with a thick blanket linning the bottom. It is VERY easy for momma to get in and out of for nursing etc. We can put the pool wherever we are to closely monitor the puppies and momma. It is VERY easy to clean. We put our pups in the pool at just about 4 weeks. The puppies love it cause they can wander safely, play, nurse or cuddle in the blankets. We have a pee pad that sometimes gets used for pee and poo and sometimes for tug of war. We have a SHALLOW water dish and last week we added dry kibble. We also put some xsmall soft "zanies" toys in there that they love to play with. In the beginning we put them back into the whelping box at night time. This past week they have stayed in the pool even at night but we just move them into our room.
