So I fed them food yesterday and today. The girl eats it up real good and the boy is a little slower but gets it.

This morning they were feeding off of her and she all of a sudden got up and when they tried to feed again, she growled at them. Is this signs of her starting to wean them?

She is not mean to them and stayed in the box. I did feed them the mush so they ate.
Bella Mia is starting to do the same thing with almost 6 week old puppies....A Lot less time with the puppies and more time with the family. When the pups cry she goes and looks in on them but she doesnt stay long. When she nurses it is maybe 5 minutes 10 maximum maybe 6 to 10 times a day. It is more like little snack nursing.
At first the puppies didnt want the dry crushed kibble and they were slow to REALLY eat the mush but they all finally picked it up even the little one and now they eat mush 4 times a day and dry crushed Chicken Soup kibble is there all day...well at least until one of them tips the pie pan. I have one pup now that likes to "dig" all the food out and then eat it Bella has not growled at them yet, not even playing. When she is done nursing she just jumps out of the pool.
