I don't know how much you know about the process. But, most breeders have their own studs.

Does he meet the standard, has he had all the required tests performed, hips and knees x-rayed. Heart, eyes, blood tests. Bile Acids and checked for any infections. Even with having these tests performed, are you familiar with his blood line are you aware if his lineage is free of any diseases or defects?

Have you researched on developing a contract for stud service. Are you prepared to assist the owner of the female with whelping of a litter. Are you prepared to take any pups that the female owner can't place. Or even if she does place them and they need to be rehomed are you willing to take them?
