I doubt if I spend over $20 a month on my dog. The first year was really expensive as I was buying X pens, crate, grooming supplies, monthly grooming, harnesses, leashes, clothes, toys, beds, etc. Now I rarely buy anything like that. My dog is very obsessive over toys, so we no longer buy toys for him. We only give him toys as a special treat since he goes so insane for them. I learned to groom him myself, so we don't have that expense anymore. Our main expense now that he is older is quality food and treats.

I feel my yorkie is by far the least expensive pet I have to care for.
