Default In heat 6 weeks after welp!!!

I was reading some other threads about this to try to find some more information on it. So Molly had a litter 6 1/2 weeks ago.

Really no complications and things have been well the past month or so... anyway, this past week, she had a bit of discharge (it was clear or so I thought), I am not too alarmed, b/c I have heard it could be from the pregnancy (even though she stopped weeks ago). I figured if it persisted, I would take her to the vet. I noticed that it stopped soon after so I paid no attention to it. Well, Max became very interested in her all week, following her, cleaning her, etc (wooing her)... just like he did when she was in heat last time. But I was like "surely not" and didn't think too much about it. Fast forward to last night... Hubby and I go out of town for a couple of hours. We have Max, Molly (and the puppies in their area) all contained within a couple of rooms in the house (semi-free roam). When we get home, we find that Max has marked EVERYTHING. This has never been an issue unless a female is in heat then he goes crazy. I honestly had forgotten about everything with Molly and it just didn't "click" at that time. Max and Molly were in our sight last night and I didn't really see any unusual behavior. Well fast forward to today... I'm putting their clothes on and I am sitting on the floor with them. I put Max's shirt on and then I go to put Molly's dress on. As I am doing this, Max starts humping the air and then proceeds to hop on over to Molly and starts to hump her. I separated them VERY quickly (definitely no penetration or anything like that) but I was caught so off guard. Max NEVER humps stuff, only when he has been invited and I wasn't paying close enough attention to see if she had flagged him or not, which she never snapped at him, so I can only assume... Max is very laid back and I know that he wouldn't be making something out of nothing, ya know? But I just don't know and I am taking all precautions, just in case. Too many coincidences all at once, that's for sure.

Has anything like this happened to anyone before? I know that everything will be fine with her but I wondered how common it is to go in heat so soon... and just when I thought my house couldn't get any crazier...
