Animal Smiley 019 How do you tell if they are constipated?

Marly didn't poo today, when i took him out he squatted like he was going and then kept on, then looked at it like, where is it? Later my boyfriend came over and made a comment that he looked a little bloated, so we both were thinking the same thing.

Does this sound farmiliar for anyone? I read that pure pumpkin with no spices works or extra virgin olive oil works. Do i just mix this in with his food, and how much? He hasn't really been eating his food either, i am feeding him Blue Buffalo (i think its buffalo?) right now, and the place he came from i dont think took very good care of him so i am assuming the food was not good quality either. Could this have something to do with it? Him getting used to a new food? It really just started too, when i first got him home he gobbled it all up, but these past fews days not as much. The only thing i can link that with is the eye ulcers (for those who have been following my posts).

What do ya'll think?
