I just did a search around and found where the pups were advertised. I think these are the ones that were advertised for $600 here but $450 on another site. Still, price should not be an escape from health concerns. I also saw pictures where she was letting the puppies play outside, where they could have gotten the insect bites. But I also saw that the lady was not a regular breeder and these were the result of an accidental mating. She may not realize that the breeder needs to be responsible for the delivered health of the pups. She said they come with a vet check, was that done just before delivery?

This is also another non-AKC pup. I would not buy a puppy that was not AKC registered, had a realistic health guarantee, and a recent vet health certificate. When you buy from someone who admits they are not a breeder, you are taking chances. Still, you have a right to believe the person will do right by the pup when a problem does occur like this.

Unless there is a lot more to the story, I think she owes you the cost of the vet bill -- at least the portion that included checking for worms and looking at the bites, along with the cost of medications. But that is JMO and won't get you very far. Let's hope she reconsiders and does the right thing.
