3 days is too long; i am surprised he didn't vomit any bile. make sure you change the food so he has a fresh plate; what type of food is it; maybe it's not appealing to him; what you can do is boil some chicken and some white rice ; mash them together with a bit of water; and try feeding him that; or just the chicken; just to get him to eat something. give him some nutrical or a bit of honey; it might increase his appetite.
