I think so many people miss the point of Cesar, and just don't get what he's saying, some programs are like watching a surgeon perform an appendectomy, and it doesn't mean we are suppose to try the procedure at home, and he even warns that this should not be done by anyone except a trained professional, yet people still say, or you should never do that to your dog – no kidding! I'm not about to perform an appendectomy either just because I saw it on TV. Many programs do have great easy tips that any dog owner can utilize, and I like the way he addresses the psychological aspects of canine behavior. Behaviorists just address the behavior of an animal, where psychoanalysts address the whys of a behavior, and sometimes it helpful to understand the whys. To me, Cesar is the Freud of canine behavior, and there is much we can learn from him. | Great post, I totally agree. |
